ARTE INSIEME

New Year's Eve Collective Exhibition 
And once again "La Casa degli Artisti" in Gallipoli, Apulia, Italy, is in the forefront of the cultural scene . This time it houses a Collective Exhibition with the title "ARTE INSIEME", introduced by the Cultural Association "Arteuropa" from Atripalda (Av) and by Proff. Enzo Angiuoni and Maria Cristina Maritati. 20 Italian and foreign artists exhibit their works. Some of them are famous masters, others are young promises, all joined by an only burning passion for art and the desire to meet and to have new experiences. The famous critic of art and artist himself, prof. Eugenio Giustizieri, has thus commented the event: "Inaugurated in the summer of this year" La Casa degli Artisti" houses a very particular art exhibition from 29th December 2006 to 7th January 2007 : Arte Insieme. The artist Giorgio De Cesario, and his wife Maria Cristina Maritati, are the caretakers of an infinite gallery of Babele, with which they have a special and mysterious relationship. Between these cosmopolite walls, art becomes an instrument in order to hold the ghosts far away, a game, a ritual that accompanies a phrenetic search for love and speaks with force to all emotions. De Cesario knows the history of our Salento well, he knows that young artists must be considered without forgetting the famous ones, without telling lies or creating alibi. This review puts together young and older artists emergent who have apparently opposite expressive possibilities : on one side the cult of the shape in its absolute and nearly magical value, on the other the exaltation of the present time. In such a container art will not get lost, and much less it will be able to save itself in time and in space, it will not look for an escape. It will contribute, instead, to the formation of a new way of being artists. A multishaped, multiethnic and multicultural creativity that prelude to near future, its concealment, its invisibility. A wise game which will fascinate the spectator a lot and will drive him towards the discovery of what has happened with heartbreaking sharpness, in a vision of the world and the life that remains an enigma.

The opening ceremony is on Friday 29 December at 6.00 p.m.

The artists are ENZO ANGIUONI, AUGUSTO AMBROSONE, MAURIZIO BENETTI, KIKA BOHER, SANDRO CELLANETTI, GIORGIO DE CESARIO, MASSIMO DE LUCA, ANTONIO DE SALVE, MARIO D'IMPERIO, MARIA TERESA DI NARDO, EUGENIO GIUSTIZIERI, SALVATORE PEPE, CESARE PISCOPO,MAX HAMLET SAUVAGE, CIRO SEVERINO, NINO SEVERINO, LUIGI SCIGLIUZZO, FULGOR SILVI, GENEROSO VELLA and the extraordinary participation of GIUSEPPE CASCELLA.

The exhibition will remain opened until 7th January 2007 from 10,00 to 12,00, from 16,00 to 20,00. Free entrance
